Sen. Celina VillanuevaSPRINGFIELD – Providing asylum seekers, students and residents of her community with proper resources that will allow them affordable housing, equity in health care and education, and a fair chance at succeeding in life, remain top priorities for State Senator Celina Villanueva (D-Chicago).

Villanueva, who was sworn in to the Senate Wednesday, is excited to continue fighting for issues that affect members of her communities on the southwest side of Chicago.

“The fight for equity in the state is not an easy task, but it is something I am diligently dedicated to,” Villanueva said. “I am glad that I work with legislators and government officials in Springfield that allow me to come up with viable solutions to combat these challenges on an economic and social level.”
